We are very proud to announce that Sandwell Women’s Aid has won the Black Country Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year Award. These prestigious awards acknowledge and celebrate the best of local businesses. Our staff team attended the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards dinner on 19th November at Wolverhampton Racecourse to receive the award and celebrate with fellow winners.

In announcing the award, the judges commented:

Sandwell Women’s Aid supports women, children and men who have been victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, child sexual exploitation and international human trafficking. They believe that no-one should have to live in fear of abuse. The judges saw that their business model covered all aspects of life dealing with matters people are often reluctant to talk about. The charity demonstrates a commitment right across the board, resulting in a strategy to be the very best in everything they do.”

We would like to thank the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and award sponsors Brammer and Buck & Hickman. We also send our hearty congratulations to the other category winners, which include the Black Country Living Museum.
