We were delighted to hold the official launch of The Cedar Centre, Walsall’s new centre supporting victims of domestic abuse, on 28th July 2016.
The Centre houses our newly-commissioned Walsall Domestic Violence & Abuse IDVA Support Service. This service will work alongside statutory and voluntary partners to help keep victims and their children safe.

We also hosted the launch of Walsall Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme. This is a project of Fry Housing Trust which will work with perpetrators to challenge and change their behaviour.

Both services are commissioned by Walsall Council and are an integral part of Walsall’s drive to combat domestic abuse.

An audience of professionals from across Walsall heard from speakers David Jamieson, Police and Crime Commissioner; Andrea Potts, Assistant Director for Early Help, Walsall Council; Inderpal Desai from Fry Housing Trust; and BCWA’s Head of Partnerships, Nikki Penniston, Domestic Abuse Manager Raj Lagan, and Executive Director Sara Ward.

We have been very pleased at the warm welcome we have received in Dudley, and look forward to working with partners and agencies across the borough to reach and support survivors of domestic abuse, helping them to escape violence and rebuild their lives.
