Take on the ultimate challenge by walking over hot coals! We're looking for brave 'soles' to take part in our second annual Firewalk.
Exciting News! We’re back with a BANG for our second annual firewalk fundraiser! Last year’s event was a blazing success, and we’re ready to turn up the heat once again!
Join us on the 1st of November as we walk on hot coals to support victims of abuse and exploitation. Together, we made a difference last year, and this time, we’re aiming even higher!
We’d love you to have a target of £100 and we give you the toolkit to make this easy!
BCWA strives to give families leaving refuge a helping hand in turning an empty house into a home. Monies raised will buy basic but essential items we all take for granted such as curtains, bedding, kettle, toaster, cutlery, microwave, towels, fridge, crockery, pots and pans etc.
BCWA has been supporting victims of all types of abuse for over 30 years. Last year over 13,000 adults and children were referred to us for help to escape living in fear, overcome trauma and rebuild their lives.
We receive over 9 calls an hour and provide many other vital services. We listen, we care, we support and we are so glad you can too!
Your fundraising supports us to make safe spaces for adults and children fleeing abuse to start new lives free from fear. This year, we are fundraising to:
Make a space to heal by building two new refuge bungalows accessible for people with physical disabilities escaping domestic abuse and modern slavery
Make a house a home, giving families leaving refuge a helping hand with basic but essential items we all take for granted such as curtains, bedding, kettle, toaster, cutlery, microwave, towels, fridge, crockery, pots and pans etc. Our crisis fund also supports with emergency food parcels and transport.
Last year’s Firewalk made £14,000 and with your help we can raise even more.
Register here to take part.
Heads up! We have an early-bird registration fee of £25, for a limited time only! After the 25th September 2023, the standard registration fee will be £30.00, which also includes a free raffle ticket and Firewalk certificate.
We ask you to have a sponsorship target of £100 and we give you the toolkit to make this easy!
Thank you to the Pavers Foundation for sponsoring this event.
