What are the awards about?

The Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards has been launched to recognise the people and organisations who are helping to make a true difference to the lives of our nation’s working population.

This year they received over 500 applications, so we are exceptionally proud!

What is the award for?

This award will go to a team or department whose responsibility is to lead the charge in devising, implementing and maintaining an effective wellbeing strategy. This team will have shown passion and commitment to improving their colleagues’ wellbeing, while consistently going above and beyond to ensure help create a supportive culture.

Why have we applied?

BCWA believe that you cannot support victims without supporting staff. Ensuring the wellbeing of our staff is central to the delivery of effective and meaningful service to victims. We layer the individual and mutual support for colleagues, with much of it being led by staff themselves telling management what would help them. The space we create enables our employees also to feel safe to disclose. Staff are aware of the range of resources available to them to work through their trauma before they can support people who refer into our services and need help. This time to heal ensures that we adhere to our values at all times.

Well-being is a passion everyone at BCWA shares. We are proud of the dedication and commitment of all BCWA staff who genuinely want to make a difference to the lives of others who have suffered trauma and abuse and nurturing our wellbeing culture is one of the ways BCWA recognises and values our employees.

“It’s fantastic to have received so many inspiring applications from passionate wellbeing champions for a second year. The standard of entries was incredible, so the finalists should be very proud to have made it to the shortlist.

“The growing appetite for change within the workplace is clear from the sheer volume of dedicated entrants committed to making working lives better in their respective industries. Changing working cultures is something nobody can do alone, and it is only through the collaborative efforts of so many hard-working people that working lives can be transformed.”

Simon Scott-Nelson, co-founder of Wellity Global and the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards.
