Black Country Women’s Aid are holding their first Firewalk!

Will you help to take the heat off women and children in refuge?

Take on the ultimate challenge by walking over hot coals! We’re looking for 150 brave ‘soles’ to take part in our first ever Firewalk.

Help us make a house a home

Black Country Women’s Aid refuges support women and children fleeing domestic abuse and exploitation. Many of them will have had to leave their homes with nothing. When they move on from refuge into safe new homes, we give them a helping hand in turning an empty house into a home. All funds raised by the Firewalk will buy basic but essential items we all take for granted such as curtains, bedding, kettle, toaster, cutlery, microwave, towels, fridge, crockery, pots and pans etc.

By registering for the Firewalk event and raising sponsorship, you will be helping women and children to escape living in fear, overcome trauma and set up home again.

  • £100.00 raised, will pay for a home starter pack: microwave, kettle, toaster, mugs, dinner service, towels and cutlery
  • £200.00 raised, could pay for a bed, a wardrobe, TV, curtains, fridge , carpet
  • £400.00 raised, could pay for a sofa, table and chairs, bunk beds, floor coverings, paint and wallpaper

Let’s give these families the best start and help them to create new happy memories.

How to register for our Firewalk
