Black Country Women’s Aid’s popular International Women’s Day fundraiser returns this year with the generous support of Waldrons Solicitors.

 

The event, taking place at Churchill’s in Wednesbury on Saturday, 8th March, has already sold out. This is a brilliant start to the charity’s ‘Key to a New Life’ campaign to build 10 much-needed refuge flats for Black Country families fleeing domestic abuse.

Amy Lou Smith, a Britain’s Got Talent finalist in 2023, will be performing some of her favourite floor fillers. In addition to dinner and dancing, there will be exciting fundraising games, a raffle with incredible prizes, and a lively photo booth.

Waldrons staff are looking forward to attending again this year as part of their continuing support for Black Country Women’s Aid. As the Waldrons Charity of the Year, BCWA works closely with the law firm on corporate volunteering, raising awareness of domestic abuse issues in and out of the workplace, and on vital fundraising.

BCWA Inspiration Woman of the Year Award 2025 – Nominate Now

Although the event has sold out, there’s still time to nominate a female friend, colleague, or family member for their chance to win the BCWA Inspirational Woman of the Year Award, 2025, which is sponsored this year by Hubtel IT.

We’re looking for candidates who care about women’s equality, celebrate women’s achievements, or raise awareness about discrimination. All should be women who take action to support other women.
